NCC Featured in Afro: “White Proposes Early Child Development Bill”

Our Early Learning Center’s Executive Director, Dr. Keesha Blythe (left) and Parent-Teacher Association President, Aliscia Jackson (center) were featured in the June 29th Afro article titled, “White Proposes Early Child Development Bill”.

The article focused on District of Columbia’s Council member (At-large) Robert White (right) proposed bill, “The Bolstering Early Growth Investment Amendment Act of 2017″ (BEGIn Act) that would create a comprehensive system of early childhood development and quality education centers for toddlers in the city regardless of family income.

Blythe and Jackson were able to share their experiences, Blythe as an early learning center in Ward 8 administrator and Jackson, from the perspective of a parent.
