Dr. Keesha Blythe, is a leader with proven success in assisting and supporting Zero through 12th grade administrative teams in the area of Student Support and Special Education. Dr. Blythe began her career as a special educator in a private special education school in Maryland and later as a special education principal in the District of Columbia Public Schools. Her experiences have allowed her to put into practice her belief that all children can and must learn, “whatever it takes”.
Dr. Blythe has worked tirelessly as a special education school leader in District of Columbia Public Schools and a Training and Technical Assistance Specialist for Least Restrictive Environments with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education, where her knowledge and skill was able to support Local Education Agencies in the District of Columbia. Dr. Blythe most recently held the title of Director of Student Support Services at Bridges Public Charter School. Her background also includes program development and improvement, compliance and monitoring, developing and administering staff development, conducting evaluations, and resolving personnel and community issues. Dr. Blythe holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Howard University and a Master of Arts degree in Special Education and Human Development with an emphasis in Emotional/Behavioral Disorders from The George Washington University. Dr. Blythe also holds a Doctor of Education in Education Administration and Policy with a Legal Emphasis in Special Education Administration at Howard University.
