Last night Beth Jarrett, Senior Director of Quality Improvement represented NCC last night at the Autism Speaks Adult Services Town Hall on Housing and Residential Services. The event was cosponsored by Chimes and held on the campus of George Washington University in downtown Washington, DC. Almost 150 individuals from Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia came together to discuss the crucial issues faced by adults with autism. Attendees included self-advocates, local autism service providers, families, local educators, students and other members of the community – all understanding the need to work together to create viable housing solutions for our loved ones with autism.
The moderated panel discussion featured Angela Lello, Director of Housing and Community Living for Autism Speaks; Ian Paregol, Executive Director at CSAAC; Amanda Wells, Interim Director of Residential Services at the Faison School for Autism; and Beth Jarrett, Director of Quality Improvement for the National Children’s Center.
